Get and build nm-tray

git clone https://github.com/palinek/nm-tray
cd nm-tray
ccmake -G "Unix Makefiles" .    # Set the insall prefix in ccmake tui.
make

Install nm-tray

cd nm-tray
make install

Add nm-tray to KDE Plasma autostart

Open plasma "System Settings",

Under "Workspace",  Click "Startup and Shutdown",

Click "Autostart",

=>

Click "Add...",

=>

Click "Add Application...",
